1st American Builders of Chicago did a splendid job of installing a walk-in shower. All was accomplished in professional fashion. The space surrounding the construction was protected. Cleanup of the area was well done. This company shows sensitivity to the need and advises regarding the best choice of object to be installed. We will recommend them to any one who is in need of reconstruction or repair. Jim really knows his business and his worker was so skilled and efficient.

The replacement of my counter tops in the kitchen from formica to granite is so stunningly beautiful ( like night & day ) and that's including replacing the vanity tops with granite in both bathrooms ( plus new sinks & faucets in the kitchen and bathrooms ) and that the work was done so excellently , that i would recommend 1st American to everyone !

I can not recommend 1st American Builders enough! Jimmy does an amazing job explaining everything and communicated with us through every step of the process. We had some outside wood work done (new porch support pillars, wood trim around garage, and wooden gate) and also had our backyard patio replaced. Jimmy’s crew did an awesome job turning our uneven brick patio into a concrete patio that’s better than I had imagined. With all the rain we’ve had this month, Jimmy did a great job watching the weather and communicating about the ever changing timeline of the project. If you’re looking for any work done inside or outside, contact Jimmy ASAP. You won’t be disappointed! He really takes the time to listen to what needs to be done and offers advice on the best way to make your vision a reality. We will be scheduling some other repairs very soon!

I happily recommend 1st American Builders. From the moment I met Jim I knew I was in good hands. He listened patiently to the improvements I needed for my home (which included repairing a large section of drywall, painting, constructing shelving, and building a window seat for my bay window). Jim provided me with a more than fair price and scheduled the days for the work to be completed. He assigned craftsman who completed all of the work in 2 days with no inconvenience for me. I'm looking forward to my next project with 1st American Builders of Chicago.

I normally do not write to many reviews but I have to tell u about this company!! First off the owner Jimmy is a great guy!! He came over to give us a quote and was honest and totally open to any idea's we had. He goes out of his way to make sure you are happy! His prices are the best around too!! Peter was the contractor doing the work to our kitchen. He also installed hardwood flooring to our kitchen, dinning room and living room. His work is beautiful and detailed!! I am beyond thrilled with how everything came out!! Exceeded my expectations for sure!! If u are looking for a company to remodel anything in your home look no further!! I can honestly say...you will not be sorry!!

Jim's professionalism, years of experience, and knowledge of working with insurance claims made a home disaster into my new dream bedroom and laundry space. The work was completed in a good time with quality and attention to details. I would highly recommend 1st. American Builders of Chicago Inc.

I have hired 1st American Builders of Chicago over the past 5 years and I have consistently been pleased with each project. Jim and his team are always professional, responsive and courteous, providing quality work in my home. 1st American Builders pricing is more than fair and reasonable. I will continue to use 1st American Builders and provide them with referrals.

I just have to thank Jimmy and his crew for the beautiful job they did on my Eaves and Soffits they just finished. The workers are so nice and were here when they said they would be. They also work until they can't work anymore. It only took a couple of days and they are very efficient. And Jimmy (the owner) came out a couple times a day to check the work that was being done. He was also very nice and makes you feel very comfortable. I really appreciate they time he took to explain the process and because of all this lovely rain we have had he called to let us know what was going on every step of the way. Again Thank you so much I love the color and it looks just beautiful!!! I will hire this company again in the future for more remodeling I am going to have done!!!!

I highly recommend 1st American because they make you feel like you MATTER. I’ve called companies with pressing issues and have had times where they don’t even call back when they say they will! Jimmy made me priority number 1 with care and respect. Being a single mom, you hear horror stories of people being taken advantage of. NOT here! 1st American was quick to respond when my water heater suddenly broke and needed a new one. He got me in contact with a professional he knew for 42 years and they took care of me SAME DAY. Was so pleased with the response and quick action on my hot water heater that I went through them to get my new windows for the house to replace the old (almost 50 years old!) ones. They kept in touch throughout the whole process with appointment times and confirmations and cancellations due to weather and rescheduling. The day of installation, the men showed up early, began work right away and had all three sets of windows installed within 3 hours and cleaned up all the mess! Very efficient and professional and Jimmy stopped by twice to make sure everything was going smooth and the work maintained accurate! They definitely have a repeat customer with this momma!

Jim was easy to deal with and was very responsive to any questions or concerns we had as we had our new deck installed. It is BEAUTIFUL!! And done so quickly and professionally! I can't wait to use our new deck and invite people over to show it off! Thank you Jim and company for your great work!

Great Job! 1st American Builders are the best! They laid concrete patio in my backyard. I'm very pleased customer. They were very nice people and polite. They also did the back bay window siding and front porch. I highly recommend 1st American Builders. Thank you Jim and your team.

Jim and his team did an A +++++ job on our roof He also put a window in that needed replacing and fixed a crack in my basement foundation , great project management from start to finish . Reasonable prices and Jim is Great to work with - great personality and truly cares about his customers -

Recently had 1st American Builders remodel my bathroom. Jim was great. He was always available and made sure I was completely happy. Look forward to getting more work done in the future. My bathroom looks better then I ever imagined.

1st American really helped when I was in a bind. My property backups up to a field that folds quite often, over just a few short years the drainage washed away the gravel base leading my brick patio and back stoop to sag. 1st American was out ASAP, scooped up the old brick and the very next day I had a beautiful new patio. They even found the source of the original issue and made sure it was sealed in concrete. Highly personable as well as professional.

We recently had wonderful work completed at our home in Tinley Park,Illinois This included siding, soffit and facia , chimney crown and tuck pointing . All work was done within in week. The home looks beautiful. I personally recommend using this contractor
